Stamps Commemorating UK Children’s Shows

When I was in London earlier this year, I visited the post office (of course!). There I learned that the UK does not release many commemorative stamps. The only ones they had were these stamps featuring characters from children’s television.

My favorite? Postman Pat (of course!).

    Dear Save Snail Mail,
Hello my name is Mailbox 222 and I am starting a personal challenge to help save ”snail mail.”
    Here is my story…
Mailboxes. Truth be known I have a secret fascination with them.
The mysteries that they hold inside.
The anticipation when opening up that little door, to find that you have received a hidden treasure
    from someone special.
The pride and artistry that some folk have in creating so many different and incredible
    shelters for their snails.
Snail mail…I love this even more!
That feeling of touching a real piece of paper. From across the world – or across town, someone took time and thought just for you. An irreplaceable connection between two.
Here is my personal challenge…For every mailbox post that I make – I will post a letter to someone. I would love the world to join me. So…
Welcome to my campaign. S-0-S….”Save our Snails!” Let’s send more happiness around the world and fill our mailboxes with joy:)
I was just searching around and found your amazing blog!!! So nice to meet another person committed to saving the snails:)

    Kindest Regards,
    SOS Mailbox 222

I’ll always have a soft spot for Paddington, so I have to go with that for my favorite stamp. They’re all cute, though.

Wow – I haven’t seen a Paddington Bear stamp before… these are great!
