2012 U.S. Postage Stamps

If you haven’t previewed what postage stamps are coming for 2012, go check out Beyond the Perf’s list.  I have already added reminders to my calendar for the whole year so I won’t miss all the ones I love.  My birthday is at the end of January and I’m going to treat myself with the year of the dragon (my Chinese sign) and bonsai ones out by then.

The one nice thing about my stamp obsession is that it makes me write more letters and cards just so I can use them!

Once they’re released, they will be available for purchase at your local post office or online at the Postal Store.

What are your favorites in the coming lineup?

  1. I came to your site through a link at the European Paper blog. I really really want the lunar New Year stamps. I love dragons and writing letters, so I think that’s the best of both worlds. I’d have to save one for myself though.:)

    1. Keeping one for yourself is a great idea. You should also check out Canada’s dragon stamp: https://www.canadapost.ca. I would buy those just to stick on mail art, even though they wouldn’t be valid postage in the U.S.! Glad to have another dragon enthusiast here!

  2. I’m looking forward to the Year of the Dragon stamp and the Cherry Blossoms.

Hmmm… You would think that the release of the “Love” ribbons stamp would be early enough to allow people to mail letters and cards to be received in time for Valentine’s Day. Too bad no one in their production offices thought of that…

    1. I am looking forward to the cherry blossom ones, too! Who am I kidding, I am really thrilled about a lot of the ones coming up. The timing of the “Love” one does seem like an oversight.
